The fabrication facilities at Westport Orange Shipyard house three plasma cutting tables, a submerged arc welder to weld 40-foot plate sections and a high-capacity panel line used in the welding of stiffeners. The facility has the capacity to fabricate up to 25,000 tons per year.

Our processes are designed in keeping with lean manufacturing principles to minimize module and material movement, eliminating time spent in non-value added processes and reducing downtime resulting in maximum efficiency. Our new boat construction process is rigorously quality controlled and monitored from architectural blueprint design concept to the assembly process to the electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, facility construction and finishes.
